“Let me tell you something about these bags,” Cheryl laughed. “These are collector’s items already! Gals are already declaring they’re going to buy one of every edition and have like, the whole bamboo-handled series. Which I think is so cool – I mean, what a fabulous display that could be made in someone’s closet! – but it’s really not even something we considered when we designed them. I fell in love with that classic bamboo handle when we were abroad, and the juxtaposition of that with the really straight silhouette appealed to me, and then doing it entirely in beads transformed into an exquisite combination. I thought, ‘I can design a couple different ones to complement the collections,’ but now I’m wondering if maybe we should make it a whole ‘thing’!”
