My sister and I have know Joan Slifka since the early 1990’s. Her ability to “stamp” her style and it be recognizable is bar none.
This particular necklace is from my aunt who is 92 and since she never imagined she’d live to this age is selling some quality jewelry.
The necklace departs a bit from Joan’s turquoise and concentrates on earth tones. The amber, bone, onyx form a mode of more sophistication. All charms whether large or small are sterling. Characteristic of her designs are the double side charms-actually you can reverse the necklace to wear all sterling if you choose. Cherub angels, crosses, moon, hearts, butterflies, flowers, 3D box with a secret compartment, musical notes, Aladdin’s lamp…
Beads are amber, onyx and bone.All painstaking made by Joan.
